WHY WE NAMED "SUYOG" TO OUR SON!!
We really did not want to have baby here in the Philippines. We had only one goal for coming to the Philippines that is to study. So, we did our best to avoid pregnancy. But God had different plan for us. When I knew Kalpana became pregnant, both of us worried a lot and also frustrated. She had just recovered from both kidneys infection. She was just discharged from the hospital. She was still weak. To have a baby was really was not in our mind. But Kalpana became pregnant. We reflected on what God God is going to do in our lives. Finally, we realized that this time is the best time to have baby in our life. When we will graduate, both of us will be very busy in the ministry. Kalpana also will not have enough time for rest. And God has been also providing all our needs for the birth of the baby. So, we came to know that although we make mistaskes, God never makes mistakes. We realized that God knows what is best for us. SO, WE NAMED OUR SON "SUYOG" meaning "exact time" in Nepali language. In Greek "KAIROS."
Thank you very much for praying for us.

FROM POVERTY TO ABUNDANCE
Introduction
If poverty is hunger, lack of shelter, not having accesses to school, not having a job, fear of the future, and being sick and not being able to see a doctor, then I was really poor because I experienced all of these.
My Life Before Accepting Christ
I was born in a poor Hindu family; and we used to spend a lot of money in fulfilling Hindu rituals. It was very difficult for my parents to raise us. They could not send my six sisters to school; and, my elder brother was expelled from school because my parents had not paid the fees for many months. This tense life led me to worship many Hindu gods along with my parents hoping they will redeem us from our horrible situation.
Our family situation became more and more difficult in spite of my continue worship and prayer to Hindu gods. My eldest sister died when my parents could not take her to the hospital. I also became very sick and was in a hospital for more than one month and hardly got healed. Many times we had no food to eat. These tense events made me a strong atheist. I used to think that if there were real gods, we did not have to suffer like this. I became an active member of a communist party, thinking this would solve my problems, but they were also useless. The political leaders were corrupted and had no morality. So, my involvement in the politics also became unsatisfying to me.
Why and How I Accepted Christ
While frustrated and disappointed, one of my Christian friends shared with me about Jesus. He was a man of real morality and integrity. He was also from a poor family but he always looked happy. Although, I did not like Christians in general, he was the exception. I used to think that Christianity is a foreign religion. When he shared about Jesus, I listened very carefully and interestingly. He also invited me to come to the Christian church. So, one day I went to church with him. In the church, I saw a very different environment. There were many people from different backgrounds. Although, they were from different casts, tribes, classes, and places, they were like a big united family. They were loving and caring toward each other. I heard a message on the eternal, abundant life in Jesus Christ that touched my heart. From that message, I came to understand that Jesus Christ has come to give us an abundant life forever. In Jesus, I realized the existence of one true living God. So, after the program, I prayed to Jesus Christ asking Him to come into my life to redeem me from my tense situation and give me eternal abundant life.
How My Life Has Been Changed
by Receiving Christ
After praying, I felt that Jesus has come to my life and suddenly, I felt that the heavy burden was taken away that had been suppressing me for many years. I also experienced the love of people in the church who became like my own family members. They all encouraged me. I found a new hope in life. Although, I did not get worldly wealth, I felt very spiritually rich because I had Jesus Christ, the God who is the most precious wealth.
Conclusion
I was really poor when I did not have Jesus with me; but now, I am the richest person in the world because I have Jesus. Jesus provides me with my needs and I have been living an abundant life. Once Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10 NASB). This promise is not only for me but for all who ask Jesus to come into their lives. Would you like to ask Jesus to come into your life?
